How do hearing aids work?
Hearing aids are made to amplify sounds to help with hearing loss. The technology consists of a microphone to receive sound, an amplifier to strengthen the sound entering the hearing aid, the receiver that brings the amplified sound to the ear and a battery which is necessary to power the hearing aid. With digitally programmable hearing aids, it's like wearing a tiny computer in the ear! Why is there such a difference in price when they all look similar?

How long does a hearing aid last?
Generally, a hearing aid will last 3-5 years, but you certainly can expect longer life with appropriate care.
